Alma - A Chilling Doll Story!
We watched a video called Alma on Literacy Shed. The children then retold the story, focusing on using precise adjectives and adverbs to describe the setting and the action. They also made up their own ending. Follow the link to view some of the stories on FlipSnack .

Treasure
The class watched "Treasure" on the Literacy Shed. They retold it, describing the main character.
Once upon a time, there was a delightful, old lady who lived in the junk yard because she was poor. One night she went out of her junk yard tent and went to the junk.
Next she found a tea cup. Smash! The cup tumbled out of her hand and into little tiny bits. After that she sat in a not so clean car and she found a little christmas tree. When she grabbed that little christmas tree the chair fell backwards. Suddenly she found a little box. When she opened the box she found a beautiful diamond ring with a beautiful pearl necklace. They looked really great!
Soon she went back to her tent and decorated it. She put a grey tin over a candle and the little christmas trees by the lamp. She put the ring on the tin. It looked beautiful. So she just sat in her chair and looked at the sparkles shining on the tent. And then she went to sleep.
