100WC The Bridge

Once upon a time there were two dragon queens who wanted to take over the half bridge called Avignon. They had sharp terrifying claws and horrible teeth. When the army come they killed the queens but the queens didn't die. When the strongest knight came he had shiny glowing armour with silver new gloves. With his strong muscles he could save the town and be a hero. So he got his spiky gold sword and killed the queens because they weren't peaceful queens they were silly old witches. And that town lived happily ever after.

Bird Search

On a dark windy Saturday at 8am I was up and I was bored. I really hoped that the school holidays were over, so I thought of searching for information about birds. I got my bird book and started to search about birds on the internet.

Fact number 1.  I was questioning in my head about what do birds eat in winter and the answer was the birds that eat insects now in this time of year eat berries. Birds are not always hungry so you have to feed them about 2am in the morning to 8pm in the night time. That's about 18 hours. Who could not eat for 18 hours? That's just amazing.

On fact number 2. Baby Birds are born about in spring time on September on 12th.
Birds are nature and we need to treat nature good. Nature is our home for you and me. I felt joyful searching about birds. I should do bird searching more often when I am bored.

What if I lived under the sea!

Mum, me and my baby brother were in Bath Bay where my house is. It was time to go to the Sea Market. Mum bought dark green sea weed. We went back home and there was Dad. Dad had Sharky my pet shark.

Mum said, "Time to go to Ocean school."
Dad and I rode Sharky to Ocean school. The Ocean school teacher was Mrs Armitage. Today I was wearing a purple fin and a white necklace. It was time to go to Bath Bay.  Mum picked me and Sharky up and we went outside.

Me and Sharky saw people throwing trash into our deep blue sea. I called Dad and Dad told them, "This is our home and you need to respect it. You need to respect our home like you respect your home."

The humans made friends with mermaids and we lived happily ever after.

Alma - A Chilling Doll Story!

We watched a video called Alma on Literacy Shed. The children then retold the story, focusing on using precise adjectives and adverbs to describe the setting and the action. They also made up their own ending. Follow the link to view some of the stories on FlipSnack .

Dough Relief Birds

We have been sketching native birds, looking carefully at the shape of their bodies, beaks and feet and at the texture of their feathers. Today we practised shaping our birds with dough and using iceblock sticks to create the texture of their feathers.
